The German insurance system punishes self-inflicted vehicle-damages by increasing the motor-vehicle insurances premiums. This applies to liability insurance, as well as to insurances with own-damage covers (‘Vollkasko’). This is frequently a motivation for general-liability insurance-fraud by reporting smaller, selfinflicted damages (parking damages) as being caused by a third party, e.g. relatives or neighbours. Quite often it is pretended, that damages were caused by playing children or adolescents.
This paper is concerning a particular aspect of that complex: It is about damages to vehicles, which were directly or indirectly caused by thrown or shot articles such as balls, toys or stones.
